Kamiry Vidan, one of the main pilot of A.E.U.G.,
is the pilot of Gundam MKII in the first part of the war in Z Gundam story. He notices the
idea and advantage of mobile suit's transformation during the war. Therefore, he begins to
design the basic design of Z Gundam. Z gundam combines the advantage of Gundam MKII and
Rick Dias and this idea is early used in the skeleton of Type 100. Then, Z gundam's
engineers use the data from the prototype mobile Type 100 and use this prototype skeleton
and the idea of transformation to form Z gundam. The most attractive point of Z Gundam is
this transformation function which transforms mobile suit from the normal close combat
form into the Wave Rider, a plane form. This Wave Rider has a super high speed in moving
around both the sky and space. Wave Rider has another super function of direct descending
into the Atmosphere, which is experimented in the MKII's Descent Atmosphere Use Flying
Armor. Moreover, the engineers equip the nervous sensors into Z Gundam and use they to
help the new type pilot to release all his power with the mobile suit. This function is
proved as success in the last part of the war with Titans's leader, Paptimus Scirocco who
rides the M.A. "The-O". However, this function over-uses Kamiry's new type
ability and forces him into vegetable. Moreover, when Z Gundam is fully equipped with the
hyper mega launcher, she can damage a space ship by only one shot. Although she has so
many super-functions, A.E.U.G. only produced one. It's because the production cost for
that kind of complex transformations system is too expensive. This completely stops either
A.E.U.G. or Earth Federation try to take Z gundam into mass production. Moreover, A.E.U.G.
also tries her best to try to decrease the cost for mass production of Z Gundam, RE-GZ is
another prototype for mass production. Re-GZ has the brother like relationship with Z
Gundam and try to remain the advantage of transform but in another form. |
