I would also love to hear their favorite type of book...romance, mystery, crime fiction, non-fiction, self-help, classics, etc.
Lots of people say, "I don't read" but usually they do...it may be Ladies Home Journal or The Star at the supermarket or Reader's Digest but almost everyone reads at some time during the day or week. Those who listen to Audiobooks while driving, etc are welcome to weigh in also.
I read: Gothic Romance= pirates/deep south/etc Horror= dean coontz, stephan king witchcraft= healing stones, candles, good things, not black magic. readers digest=love the short stories. Star/Enquirer=lol...I like garbage now and then. Pattie Hello! I'm not currently reading anything right now, but my faves are true-crime books and any type of medical books. I prefer books that are actual, not made up. But I am planning on getting Tess Garritsen's "The Surgeon" this week (it's not a true book, but one of the Nurse's I work with gave it 2 thumbs up.) Hugs, Candy I am currently reading a book called "Arkansas", it contains 4 short stories by different authors. It's a Christian Romance that takes place in various spots in Arkansas. I really enjoy it because that's where I'm originally from, and one of the towns in it (Eureka Springs, AR) is only an hours drive from where I live now, and was only 30 minutes from my home town,. So when it's talking about certain inns, and restaraunts, I can REALLY see WHERE it's going on. Anyways, there are a bunch of books like this....South Carolina, Texas, Aloha(Hawaii) Tennisee, I've read them all. My favorite books are Christian romance, I am subscribed to Heartstrings bookclub, and that' s how I come across these books. I am a big reader from childhood. I also read Stephen King, although his styles has changed since he has gotten older, so now it's ... well ... different. Yes, I've read all the Harry Potter books and enjoyed them - but I thought he 5th book, was a bit of a hormonal roller coaster. I mean...it's pretty obvious that J.K. was preggers when she was writing it :-) I also love the classics - Mark Twain, Shakespeare, Dickens and Cooper. Someday, though, I'll sit down and read 'Moby Dick' - I've never done that. I also keep subscriptions to... Smithsonian Magazine, Better Homes & Garden, Women's Day, Crafts, Crafts 'N' Things, CrafTrends, Car & Driver, Automobile, Corvette Fever, 'Vette, Road & Track and Hemmings.
