David (Hector) Springer, 35, of 412 Tulip Dr., passed away Thursday, April 8, 1999 after a two-and-a-half year battle with bone cancer. David was born Sept. 20, 1963, in Utica, the son of Shirley Daly Springer and the late Edward J. 'Art' Springer. David graduated with the IHS class of 1981 and attended Herkimer County Community College. He was employed as a landscaper in the Albany area and also by Academe Paving Inc. of Binghamton. He is survived by his beloved and devoted fiancee, Doreen Davis; his mother, Shirley J. Springer; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Christopher and Janice Springer of Ilion and Lawrence and Donna Springer of St. Johnsville; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathleen and Paul Bulinski of Woodgate, Susan and John P. Nicotera of Mohawk, Anne Marie and Robert Pashley of Galway and Mary Beth and Robert M. Dodge of Ilion, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his special friends Jon Clements, Jeff Maxson and Dale Miller. Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Sunday, from Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home with interment in the Armory Hill Cemetary. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-9, Saturday, at the Whiter-Hendrix Funeral Home.
