Mug Shots
I really love Mom and Dad, and have always been grateful to them for providing a loving home and all the treats and toys a dog could ever ask for. Still, it really BUGS me when they do things like THIS to me... If you think I wasn't too thrilled that they put me into this tux for Halloween, you're RIGHT! Oh well, it's only once a year, and it makes them happy, so I guess I can forgive them. |
Most of the time, though, I'm a pretty happy guy, except for having a couple of health problems. Because I suffer from hypothyroidism, I've had to be on a MAJOR diet for the last year, and have trimmed down to 95 pounds, from 120 a year ago. And unfortunately, like many goldens, I have mild hip dysplasia which keeps me from running and playing as energetically as I might like to. Fortunately, Mom and Dad spare no expense to make sure I have the best possible medical care. |
But enough of that serious stuff! I'd rather play in the snow!! Unfortunately, in this part of Illinois we don't get snow as often or as deep as I'd like it to be. But the up side of that is that my woobies don't stay buried as long as they used to when we lived in Iowa. Here, I've just rescued two of my best friends... the famous "Spiney Norman" (otherwise known as a Toss'n'Tug) and my jumbo Kong. I really am happiest when I'm carrying things, and the more things at once... the BETTER! I often carry three, and sometimes four. By the way, I usually carry my tail a lot lower and straighter than this! |
