Dave is a professional chemical engineer employed by M&K Chemical Engineering Consultants in their Granite City, IL office, just across the Big Muddy from St. Louis, MO. Prior to earning his professional engineering license, he spent four years in the environmental affairs department of a major utility company, and ten years with a printing firm that specialized in architectural and engineering reprographics. An "Air Force Brat" while growing up, he developed a love of flying early-on. He finally got his wings in 1984, when he earned a commercial hot-air-balloon pilot's license, and he's had his head in the clouds ever since. He also enjoys model railroading and keeping up with computer technology. | The Pilot - Dave in his element! |
Cheryl in her favorite environment - surrounded by dogs. Here she's with Smokey (as a pup), Shadow, and Squire. |
Cheryl is currently a full-time dogmom after spending twenty-some years in the printing industry, first as a typesetter and paste-up artist, then as a printing production manager. In her college days, she majored in foreign languages and history, and pursued a Masters Degree in German. As caretaker of these pages, she's gotten a crash course in using the new tools of her former trade. When she's not at the computer with the dogs snoozing at her feet, you'll most likely find her with a good book in hand, scowling over a crossword puzzle, or watching the sky, as she enjoys birdwatching and meteorology and has been an avid reader all her life. |
