Here at Vetters' Place we're avid sports fans. Only problem is that many of our favorite teams' games aren't televised locally. Thank goodness for the internet! Here are some of the places we visit to follow our favorites:
The University of Iowa Hawkeyes
The Official Iowa Hawkeye Site - All the Iowa men's and women's
athletic teams are represented here, along with the "Hawk
Shop" for stocking up on black & gold attire, and a link
to "RealAudio" broadcasts of football and basketball
games (seats are cheap in cyberspace, and you don't have to sit
out in the rain!) - GO HAWKS!!!
Hawkeye Football Journal - archived collections of reports
published in the Cedar Rapids (IA) Gazette, going back to
1995.
Iowa Hawkeye Sports - current news on the Hawkeyes -
football, basketball, and all the rest, also brought to you by
the Gazette.
Two
versions of the UI mascot "Herky" - the "Alumni
version"
(at left) is a regular guest at Homecoming.

Big Ten Sports
Big Ten - The Official Site - Lots of features on all the
conference teams and sports, plus profiles of the member
universities and links to other sites.
Big Eleven Online Magazine - No, that's not a typo! This
e-zine will keep you up on the fortunes of all eleven Big Ten
members.
The College Fight Songs Homepage - OK, so this isn't technically a
sports site, but it's a great place to look if you want to find
the classic fight songs for downloading. Most of the selections
are ".wav" files, thus fairly large & a bit slow to
download, but lots of fun if you're a nostalgic alumnus or
alumna!
Professional Sports - Our Favorite Teams
The Buffalo Bills - Our favorite football team, even
without Jim Kelly! Let's go, Buffalo! And even more on the Bills
can be found here.
The Buffalo Sabres - Nothing like a good hockey fight
to warm fans up on a cold winter's night!
