This site is dedicated to our Pekingese and to those who
love Pekes and all animals. This site is a family site
and is intended to spotlight our pets and educate
visitors about the wonders of being owned by dogs and other
animals. We have lost so many of our beloved babies and the others are getting older now. Each one is special and has distinctive traits. In 2008 we lost our little warrior named Puppy Sue. |
Our "new" Gizmo...given to us in 2005

On March 9, we lost our beloved Mickey to a sudden
attack of Congestive Heart Failure. It came on fast
and he lived only two days from the diagnosis. We
will always treasure our memories of the sweetest Peke
who charmed all visitors and could steal your heart with
his big expressive brown eyes. We are lucky in one way
to have the others to love and spoil because losing our
Mickey was totally devastating.

Mickey, two days before we lost him. He was very ill.

Pekehaven's Amber Angel was the second Pekingese to come to us from the
same breeder. She was a sister of Lord Mickey. We lost her on November
23, 2003, just ten days after her pal, Gizmo, went to the Rainbow Bridge.
Amber had a sweet disposition and up until two months before she left us,
she was bouncy and had a big smile. She loved treats and was a big eater!
Amber could always be counted on to clear up the leftovers! We will miss
her very much.

In memory of our beloved Smokey Foo Bear, otherwise known as "daddy's boy!" He was silver
(cream)w/ black markings and a little "tubby"
but daddy and all who knew him adored him...He was 12 years old (December 1) and he had lost most of
his vision. He inspired mom's
Challenged Companions
website and he did have trouble sometimes but the humans
watched over him and protectd him. He developed heart problems and some lung difficulties and we lost him on June 23, 2006. Pekehaven will never be the same without our Smokey.
