Pekehaven is home to a Cockatiel female named Gabby. We have had her for a while now, approximately 9 years. We don't have an accurate record but we think we got her around 1996. She is a sweet bird, no trouble. She is a second "Gabby"...there was another Gabby before her who lived 16 years.

For a while, we had a Cardinal named Buzzi which is now at a Bird Sanctuary in Arkansas. Buzzi was rescued in a violent storm and we hand raised him. Since we could not keep a songbird, he went to a Rehab facility to see if he can acclimate back to the wild. If not, the Bird Sanctary will keep him.

We have been told that Buzzi did well at the Sanctuary and was set free but did not leave. He still lives there but in the wild and sings all the time.
