LUCY FURR & FORMER FRIENDS!!

LUCY FURR was born at PEKEHAVEN on January 1, 1995 and sold at the age of eight weeks to a good friend who lived only about four blocks away. She was a beautiful "blonde"! She joined a household with a black Cocker Spaniel named Pepsi, a white Llasa Apso mix named Misty and a rescue Pekingese named Boots. Pepsi went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 10, 1998 and Boots joined him not long after. Mom Nancy got Charlie, a black bundle of purebred American Cocker Spaniel energy and rescued Anya, when her other mom could not keep her any longer. Then SadieMae came to join the group!

In late July of 2004, Lucy Furr came back to Pekehaven. Mom in the city worked a lot and had difficulty taking care of four dogs. Lucy became irritable about grooming and was getting pretty hairy!! (and it is HOT in July here) Back at Pekehaven, she was clipped and fitted in with her siblings, Shadow, Prissy and Tuffy, as well as the others.

December 1, 2006

Lucy went to the Rainbow Bridge. She left us on the day that would have been her papa Smokey's 14th birthday. She would have been 12 on Jan. 1, 2007. In addition to her papa Smokey waiting at the Bridge, her mum Amber is also there.

A pic of Lucy Furr made in January 2001!

Misty

Misty has gone to the Bridge to join Pepsi and the others. She was a joyful mix of Llasa Apso, Beardie???. She had a wonderful "love-bug" personality and wanted to be a lap dog. She iswas a happy, playful lady and tolerated all the other dogs wonderfully...a grimace occasionally when they tried to take her food...but no bites!

Misty
The "Heap"

When Misty stayed with us a while, I just thought brushing a Pekingese was a chore...tackling this big fur ball was an experience!! She hates grooming about the face and was not too crazy about the rest of the body...but she was not a biter and always let me fancy her up..then she shook and all the hair went right back like it was!

If you have men who will exclude any of God's

you have men who will deal likewise
with their fellowman.
