I am DARK SHADOW, the "terror" of Pekehaven...
approx. 12 pounds of growling, menacing BEAST!
who kinda secretly likes to be cuddled but don't
tell! I wag my tail to let the humans know they
can hold me and pet me but I don't let the other
dogs know I am anything but TOUGH and MEAN!!!
My nickname though is Shadow the Renegade...I like that!

Now, I ask you...is this the face of a terror?
This is the look I give Mom and Dad and any
visitors to get all kinds of petting and attention!
I think Mom and Dad have figured me out but I can still
bluff my silly brother, Tuffy, and sometimes I can bluff
the others. I live out in the country now and there are
BIG horses...(well, they look big to me!) and I love to
bark at them. They seem to kinda ignore me though.
Two are miniature horses and the ones next door are big.
Below are some of the "new" beasties.

This was my "uncle" Lord Mickey, probably the sweetest of
all Pekes. He has gone now and Mom & Dad miss him very much.
He went away March 9, 2002 following an attack of Congestive
Heart Failure. I was good during this sad time. Lord Mickey
was sable and white and had a "friendly" personality. He was
11 years old. Even though lots of time has passed, mom still
cries for her Mickey.

This is my sweet mum, Amber Angel.
She has left me now (Nov 23, 2003) to go be with Lord Mickey at the
Rainbow Bridge. She was a loving doggie and my humans miss her a lot.
I also lost Gizmo and, while he bugged me, it made the humans very sad
to see Pekehaven's senior doggies leave us. My mum Amber was a big
eater and loved treats and she had a bouncy step when she felt good.

Here is my "daddy" Smokey Foo Bear.
I didn't pick on him AT ALL!! He's was bit plump and
doesn't get much extra but he always counts on our
human daddy to sneak him a tidbit here and there.
Smokey was blind and had a hard time because he
stumbled into the others and they fussed at him.
Sometimes I forgot myself and growled at him and then
I really got in trouble. He left us on June 23, 2006 and
I really miss him. |

Don't look at HIM!!
This is my sissy brother, Tuffy, when he was a baby
and thought he had to fear that big ole stuffed toy!
What he had to fear was me...Shadow...the Terror!!
He was kinda cute as a puppy, I guess...Mom sure
thought so. To steal my attention, Tuffy sits up
and lets the humans rub his tummy...what a HAM!!!
I have now had to learn to sit up too! He just makes
my life so HARD!! Even worse, some neighbors say he is
the cutest one of us....GAG!

Amber's Pretty Prissy Girl
This is my sister, Prissy...she always acts like
the little (!!) Princess of the Realm. She hoards up
food too and won't let me have it!!!! She's a bit
on the FAT side so I don't mess with her much....she
might sit on me...and Mom says I have to be nice to
the girls...what a drag!!!
Prissy is the mom of
Muffi, Little Joe, Ranger and Brandi Bear.
YES...Mom got a BLACK cat...this was done to irritate me!
And now, in 2002, there are GOBS of black cats! They are everywhere!
It was what is called a "feral" cat and she tamed it, had it
spayed and it now is getting fat and sassy! Actually, we have
THIRTEEN former stray cats that Mom has rescued. The one above is
named Lady Midnight but she used to get on the fence and torment
we Pekingese so we consider her to be no "lady!"
Above is pictured our oldest Peke, Gizmo, and our youngest, HaleyJo.
Haley is the white one and a bundle of energy!
