You've seen the blue ribbons, much the like the one above
on every page here so far, now let me explain if you haven't
already heard about it. The Blue Ribbon is a symbol for the
preservation of our basic human right, the right to free speech.
Lets face it, the internet is here to stay. Everyday it becomes
more and more a part of our culture, and our childrens upbringing.
Now, the right to free speech on the internet is being threatened.
Who is doing the threatening?? Extremists. The people out there
who believe, incorrectly, that free speech on-line only amounts
to slander and/or corrupting our children.
These people are incorrect.
The Blue Ribbon Campain is about our civil rights, without losing
the freedom to choose what we find acceptable for our own eyes
to view, as well as our children.
As it says on my front page, this is a family friendly site, I
intend to keep it that way because I believe in respect and basic
acts of awareness about what others want to be exposed to.
However we can't ever believe that taking away a persons right
to free speech would do anything but force others opinions
on us, and ultimatley lead to further infringments on our basic
rights. I urge you to take the time to click on the blue ribbon
at the top of the page and read the information.
