Good-bye Sweet Warrior

 

              Sail on sweet warrior, ye pass through the night
                     Ye offered Your all, in the billowing fight
                pass on Sweet warrior, ye danced on the wind
                   Ye gave us Your all Your family and friend
                    For sake of Your God and Country that be
                     Ye spilt Your life's blood, the glory to thee.
                         Weep Ye mom's the loss of Your sons
                       Burn empty hearts the loss growing deep
                   Empty armed Lasses, I watch Ye now weep
                            Ye lost as much as We that did fight
                          and weep into pillows long to the night...
                         now carry Him safely to warrior no more
                         Lay Him to rest with all that's gone afore
                     I carry My memories of battles all the more
                           Till sadness and honor find Me away
                    passed on in ones memory of a brighter day..
                     His flight is but leaving He was called away
                      Good-bye Sweet Warrior, may Ye find a
                       better day...
