I was adopted in the summer of 1995. I was a year old when my previous owner had to move but could not take me. I was very sad, but I began to adjust to my new home when I saw all the love my new owners wanted to give me. They fed me lots of food and bought me a lot of toys. Things were very peaceful, until the day they brought Talula home. We get along better now, but she still thinks she's in charge and bites my feet. In January 2000, we all moved to a new home. Our new house is great we have a big patio door where we sun ourselves and watch birds. Sometimes I even get to go play outside, if I'm good...that isn't too often. Black Cat you're kinda brown and when there's ham you're always around. Have to leave the toilet seat down so you don't fall in and drown. -JBH

Fuzzy feet and fuzzy ears, how old are you in cat years? Sleeping soundly in the sun, sleeping's what you do for fun. When you wake from your eighth nap you'll go to the kitchen for a snack then find a clean shirt of mine and settle in for nap number nine. -JBH

The Story Behind Our Names... That Black Cat Phenomenon I'm a special cat, not in the regular special cat way, but in a special black cat way. I share in a long rich history of black cats being regarded as good luck. For example, King Charles I of England died the day after his prized black cat passed away. To this day England, Asia, and Australia consider black cats good luck. And although America still considers the black cat unlucky with silly superstitions, as a black cat crossing your path is bad luck, I have had the opportunity to dispell the myth in my family. My feeder was never dismayed by my color; I was the third black cat to reside at my home. So, if there is any truth to the "black cat" myth, perhaps it should include the stipulation, "no one ever suffered by loving a black cat."
