One Little Candle

Saturday Ramblins, Vol. 1, No. 5 (June 13, 1998)
Angels surround us. God our Father loves us more than human words can express.
PapaJon has passed all of the survey responses along to me and it is clear that Saturday Ramblins is a publication that you, our readers, enjoy and in which many of you have expressed a desire to share. I would like to encourage each of you to consider the spiritual encounters in your life, whether or not you see them as angelic interventions — and share your uplifting experiences with the rest of the group. Like lighting one little candle — we each have a different area of stewardship God wants us to share as witness to Him or to further His kingdom on earth.
God does work with signs and wonders, and, as I have found, through little daily gifts — the way moonlight reflects off water or the first falling snow of winter; a baby rabbit that jumps from the bushes or the smell of a fruit tree newly in blossom; scuffing through piles of leaves in the fall or a flower growing in an unlikely spot; tiny things for which I am thankful, tiny things which lighten my day and lead me to the bigger things I might otherwise miss.
The other day an old friend called me. We haven't been in touch for a long time and, truthfully, don't have much in common anymore. She called me because she needed someone to talk to. I just listened and responded when asked. At the end of the call, I apologized for having nothing to offer. The person said, "You listened, you didn't tell me you were too busy. Thank you for that." One little candle.
So many of you talked of finding in daily Angel Friends and Saturday Ramblins words that help you in your daily struggles. PapaJon and I sincerely hope this little newsletter truly becomes a community of sharing. We're all on this journey together and, I hope, that by this sharing each of us can help one another traverse life's peaks and valleys, knowing God and His angels are with us every step of the way.
