THE HEART

In the beginning there was a holy and sacred Heart
The Heart was full of Love
To share His love, He created more hearts
And they loved Him.
Their hearts were full of Love.

One day one of these hearts that He loved
Became a heart that loved himself more
Than he loved the Heart who loved him.
The Heart was heartbroken
And had to send him away.
The Heart still loves him
Even to this day.

In the beginning there was a holy and sacred Heart
The Heart was full of Love
To share His love, He created more and different hearts
And they loved Him, for a time.

One day the heart that loved only himself
Saw these new and different hearts full of love
And was jealous of the Heart's love for them
Strong and free, loving each other
And the Heart as well.

So the heart that loved only himself
Tricked the new hearts and made them frail
And in their confusion, they decided
That, for this once, they loved themselves more
Than they loved the Heart who loved them.

And they were sorry, but the deed had been done.
The Heart was heartbroken
And had to send them away.
The Heart still loves them and their children
Even to this day.
So He promised them that if they would
Want to love Him again,
That He would make a Way.

In due time the holy and sacred Heart
Heartbroken, still loving them
Saw the frail hearts come to Him
And turn away from Him
And try again.
And He loved them so
And yearned to tell them of His Love.

So the Heart himself decided that
He should become like them
So that He can teach them and show them
How to be full of Love.
Some understood and were full of Love
Others didn't and killed His likeness of them.

But He was full of Love
And could not really be killed
And He became the Way.

In the fullness of time
There is a loving and sacred Heart
Heartbroken, yet forgiving
Who loves and draws and calls upon
All frail hearts to be full of Love
And shows them the Way.

For those who don't follow
His Heart breaks and He has to send them away
Even though He loves them
To this very day.

With those who choose and follow His Way
He rejoices
And makes their frail hearts
Like His holy and sacred Heart
And they love Him.
Their hearts are full of Love.
