CUCUMBERS IN SOUR CREAM

4 large cucumbers
3 tbs cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
1 small container sour cream
water
1 medium Spanish onion
1/2 cup sugar
1 tbs dill weed, optional but good

Peel and slice cucumbers into ¼ inch slices. Place in large bowl,
sprinkle with salt, cover with water. Refrigerate several hours, then
drain, rinse, and dry out by squeezing in a dish towel. They should
look limp. Mix together sugar, vinegar and sour cream. This should
seem sweet, so taste and add more sugar or vinegar, if needed. Pour
over cucumbers and add thinly sliced Spanish onion. Mix well and
refrigerate until very cold.
