HERBED ONION FOCACCIA

1 loaf (16oz) frozen bread dough, thawed	
2 tsp olive oil, divided
1 medium onion, thinly sliced	
2 cloves garlic, pressed
1 tsp dried basil leaves	
1 tsp dried oregano
1 oz (¼ cup) parmesan cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 375º.  Roll dough into a 10x14 rectangle.  Brush with 
1 tsp oil.  Heat 1 tsp oil in sauté pan and add onion and garlic cloves,
cooking over medium heat 2-3 minutes, or until onion is softened.  
Evenly spread cooked onion and garlic over crust, pressing lightly.  
Sprinkle with herbs.  Sprinkle parmesan cheese over onion.  Bake 20-25
minutes until golden brown.   Cut into squares.  

* Use freshly grated parmesan for a more flavorful bread. *
