One week into this month and still no period: it's six weeks now and I hardly dare believe it, I bought two tests in case it turned out to be another false alarm... but somehow I knew this one wasn't. My breasts had swelled again, not that they had had much chance to loose their milk! and I had suddenly become very very tired. The pink dot appeared right on cue! Karl couldn't believe it - I WAS pregnant again.

I am quite shocked... but over the moon. I want to tell the world, but of course I am also worried about the risk of miscarrage. Somehow though this time I am not as worried. I saw the doctor and got refered to St Mary's Hospital again. Exciting! Unfortunately I also found out that my midwife from before had been of sick and was now leaving the profession so I would have a different one instead, I was really quite upset about this but it must be the right move for her. My new midwife phoned me and she sounds wonderful, she was very reasuring.

Oh no: the sickness has started. This was something I got off very lightly with Matthew being sick only eight times - yes I can still remember every time! I have already lost count how many times I have been sick in the last two weeks. I have been off work and decided to tell the the real reason why - everyone was full of congratulations, which supprised me, and they were very supportive. Not bad for a 90% male office!
