BACK ISSUE - APRIL-MAY 2000

Welcome to the revised Roundabout! We've simplified things, deleted some others and added a ton more! We will be adding more information in the upcoming months.

You can navigate this page in one of two ways: you may either click on any button above and you will be transported to that section, or scroll down the page and investigate for yourself. If you leave the Roundabout page click on your "back" button to return here.

As always, we're looking for fresh and new places. Please email us any ideas or suggestions you may have.

Freebies
  • Encyclopedia Britannica - The entire encyclopedeia has been uploaded! Excellent for homework, research, etc.

  • Free Internet Access I! - Access the internet without a monthly fee. Download the software. They do the rest.

  • Free Internet Access II! - Access the internet using Spinway, and eliminate monthly fees. Spinway has been around for a while and they also provide free chatroom software, email and more.

  • Freebies! - Software, counters, trackers, graphics, fonts, script, more! You'll be here a while!

  • Free for Free! - Comprehensive links to freeware and shareware sites.

  • WebAttack! - One of the best freeware and shareware sites around. If they don't have it, they probably link to someone who does. Virus-free downloads, secure sites. One of my favorite places to shop...and it's all free! Before you head out for Circuit City, check WebAttack! first.

  • SETI Screensaver - SETI stands for "Search for Extra-terrestrial Intelligence", and founded by the late Dr. Carl Sagan. SETI is painstakingsly searching space for signals that could be coming from other civilizations. Now you can help too! SETI's screensaver searches space from your own computer. Check this site...I'm fascinated!

Cooking Family
  • ParentSoup - ParentSoup is an all-inclusive, enormous site. Chatrooms, message boards, medical advice, everything a parent could want...except maybe a free sitter! (And you never know...)

  • iVillage - A tremendously popular internet community, including travel, real estate, personal homepages, medical...too much to list!

  • Animal Planet - As good as the TV show!

  • National Geographic Online - The well-known magazine goes online. This is an excellent educational site suitable for the entire family.

  • Disney - The official Disney site. Amazing!!

News
  • WIOD 610 AM - Miami Talk Radio. Experience Neil Rogers! (Requires RealPlayer).

  • WPLG Channel 10 - WPLG Channel 10 Miami. One of the most popular TV news stations in Miami, FL.

  • The Miami Herald - A fine online newspaper, The Miami Herald. Seems to be better on the Web than in print!
  • CNN News - What can I say about CNN? The veritable cathedral on news!.

  • ESPN - Ditto for ESPN. Sports, sports, sports. You can also voice your opinion on their messages boards, speak to pro-atheletes, play on the fantasy leagues. One of Mike's favorites!

  • May: 1st: Billy Puckett.

Tidbits

  • Look! AWARDS AND BANNERS

I have an awards program, so if you have visited a page which you feel is worthy of an award, let me know and I will visit. The award will be sent on behalf of Planet Calabrese. But if you want to personalize it, I can do that too!

  • ARE YOU ONLINE?

Grandpa and Nana as well as Eriko and Billy are now on-line. If you'd like their email address, let us know and we will contact them for you. Our email address is at the top and bottom of the page. We've love to hear from you! Also, remember....if there is any information you'd like to pass on, about ANY subject you believe would benefit the rest of the family, please email us and we will include it on the Roundabout. This is a Family newsletter after all!

  • NEW IDEAS

I've been toying with several ideas to include in The Roundabout. As more and more of you come on-line, it would be nice to have articles, newstories or sites' address which are related to some of our interests or hobbies. Tell me what ideas and suggestions you have to make this newsletter better and better...and what you'd like to see included.

  • NEED HELP?

Some of you had indicated you would be setting up a homepage. If you need help with setting up, such as free web hosting (who to use and who not to use), HTML, Javascript, graphics, etc., let me know. I can help you find sites or make backgrounds if you'd like.

  • Psst!THERE'S MORE!!!

The Roundabout is just one page out of many which make up Totally Calabrese. I know a few of you have visited and looked around, but there is much more than this page. Click HERE to start the tour.
