Dear Friends, 10-13 FRETTING IS BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH!

With the devil working double time it’s easy to get to the state of fret. People are often pawns for the devil to play against you. And our sense of fairness, and self-righteousness wells up inside us and we find our selves meditating on the sins of others. And our heart grows dark as the anger and frustration builds. It’s time to lay that burden down. It’s God’s business, not ours. Ours is to forgive and forget.

Ps 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Mt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

It’s easy to try to do God’s work by telling others what is wrong with them. But you are biased, and you are not the Holy Spirit. You can be wrong. And it’s God’s place to deal with these situations. But the devil wants you stirred up, like muddy water so that you can no longer see your own sin, just others. That’s a dangerous position to be in. Blinded to your own sins, and judging others, God says this:

Ro 2:1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.

Ro 2:3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

Our business is to minister to the Lord. We also do this by ministering to others.

1Th 4:11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; 12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

We cannot love God if we don’t love our brethren. And Jesus said to love our enemy.

1Jo 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

Mt 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

Ro 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

It doesn’t make sense to do this to those who are saying all manner of evil against you.

Mt 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

But Jesus told us to do that. God’s ways are higher. And His rewards are greater than anything we will suffer.
