I
first met David and Henrik back in the summer of 1998,
At
that time we were students at v.e.s. David and I had an idea of starting a band and we asked Henrik to participate
in our project. We where mainly
inspired by the skate-punk scene, but also reggae music and bands like KoRn,
Düreforsög* and Nirvana and had an influence on us. So we decided to make a mix
of these styles and turn it into a new kind of punk music.
In
the start it sounded like @!¤#”!, but after some months of hard rehearsal and
several arguments with people, who couldn’t stand the loudness of our music, it
suddenly began to take form.
A friend of ours called Thea, came down to
sing with us. We were glad to have her
in our band but we wanted something a more hardcore vocal. So Henrik and I
started to split the vocal between us.
The
infamous 8-track demo that “Birth Control” is from was made in 1999.
The
same year we played our first big concert at “The Vesterdal Festival”. That was
a great experience, because the audience went completely berserk to our
music.
That
summer I was supposed to go abroad, but Henrik and David stayed in Denmark and
played on ”The Midtfyns Festival”, with Frank William on bass.
Later
on, we have played a couple of gigs and I think our live shows are defiantly
worth to watch- if you like seeing some guys dressed up like prostitutes and
not having any legs.
That’s
the short version of the story, but you are always welcome to mail us. Then you
will get the head of George Bush.
