We the heirs of James Poe deceased having mutually agreed and entered into bond to stand to and abide by the partitions made this day by Caleb Crosby, J. A. Wisecarver, and J. L. Clemmer as commissioners do this day transfer and convey and verever quit claim unto Eliza Belle Bible all the right title and interest we have in and to the following lands lying and being in the 6th civil district of Greene Co. TN and bounded as follows: Beginning at a white oak corner to Mathews with his line East 50 poles to a white oak stump S 57 1/4 E 29 poles to a stump near a black Gum s. 79 1/2 E 24 1/10 poles to a pine on side of road corner to Cole S 33 1/2 W 65 1/2 ples to a post oak and persimmon N 88 W 84 poles to a rock and bush pinter on dower line N 6 W 5 1/2 poles to a sycamore N 71 W 12 poles to a small black gum S 72 E 42 1/2 poles to a stake on Matthews line thence South 19 1/2 poles to the beginning containing 65 acres more or less and is further known as Lot no. 2. To have and to hold the same unto the said Eliza Bell Bible her heirs or assigns forever. We covenant with her that we are lawfully seized of said lands by reason of heirship and have a good right to quit claim the same and that said described lands are unincumbered, we do furthermore agree to defend the title to the said described lands and every part thereof unto the said Eliza Belle Bible against the claims of all persons holding or claiming under of through us but not otherwise. This the 10th day of September 1897.

Poe the within named bargainers with whom I am personally acquainted who acknowledged that they executed the within deed for the purposes therein contained also Nettie Guthrie wife of the said A. A. Guthrie having appeared before me privately and apart from her said husband the said Nettie Guthrie acknowledged that she executed the within deed freely voluntarily and understandingly without any compulsion or constraint on the part of her said husband and for the purposes therein contained. Know all men by these present, That we B. H. FULKERSON and wife Nadia FULKERSON in consideration of Two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Cyrus POE, do hereby demise, release, transfer and convey and do hereby acknowledge that we are lawfully seized of a life estate in a certain piece or parcel of land containing 3 and 1/4 acres more or less, situated and lying in Greene County Tennessee and known and described as follows. Beginning at a stake in Mt. Hope road near gum tree on the line between HAUN'S and A. A. GUTHRIE survey, thence S. 89 E. 21 poles to a rock thence N. 1 E. 26 poles to a rock thence with said road. N. 81 W. 30 poles to Mt. Hope road thence with said road S. 14 1/2 E. 12 poles S 32 3/4 E. 10 6/10 poles to the beginning. Now for and in consideration of $250.00 to us in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged we have this day bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to Cyrus POE his heirs and assigns our said like estate, right and title in and to said land to have and to hold the same during the term of our natural life.

This Indenture made this the 2 day of May 1874 between James POE of the one part and Henry READMON of the other part boath of the County of Greene and State of Tennessee Witnesseth that the said James POE in consideration of the som of Five? hundred dollars to him in hand paid by Henry REDMON the recept whereof is hereby acknowledged heath bargained and sold and by these presents doath transfer and convey unto the said Henry READM his heirs and assigns a ceartain track or parcel of Land containing fifty acres except one and a half acres which is land off for meeting house be the same moore or less Situated and lying in the County aforsaid on the waters of Potters Creek in District No 6 bounded as follows adjoining the Lands of John C DYER Anna DYER and others begining at a hickory corner to C. N. HINK??? in William TROBAUGHS line with the same North ?? West 122 poles to a stake and ------- his corner in a line of the heirs of A. J. LANE Deceased with the same and passing a post oak a -----? corner to said LANE and corner to the original Survey North 88 1/2 West 66 poles to a stake near two marked pines and Read Oak thence South --- East 123? poles to a stake near a pine in an old field ina line of said KIRK'S?? thence East with the same 65 poles to the beginning to have and to hold the said track or parcel of Land with its appertainces. Estate Title and Interest thearinto belonging to him the said Henery READMON his heirs and assigns for ever and the said James POE doath hereby Covenant with the said Henry READMON his heirs and assigns that he is Lawfully seized and possesed of Said Land in fee simple? and that he has a good right to convey the same and that the same is unincumbered and the said James POE doath further Covenant and bind himself his heirs and Representatives to warrant and forever defend the title to said land to the said Henry READMON his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever in testimony whearof I set my hand and seal this the 2 day of May 1874

In hand paid by A. A. GUTHRIE do hereby dismise release transfer and convey and do hereby acknowledge that we are lawfully seized of a Life Estate In a certain piece of parsel of land situated and lying in Greene County Tennessee and known and described as follow Beginning at a stake In Mt. Hope Road near a Gum tree on the line HARMS & Tom MILLER? (Col) survey Thence S 89 E 21 poles to a rock thence N. 1 E 21 poles to a rock N 89 W 30 poles to Mt. Hope Road with said Road S 14 1/2 E 12 poles S 32 3/4 E 10 6/10 poles to the beginning containing 3 1/4 acres Now for and In consideration of $200. 00/100 to us In hand paid the receipt there of Is hereby acknowledged We have this day Bargained and sold and do hereby transfer and convey to A.
