Ascended Lady Masters of great spiritual develpment and attainment represent the Mother aspect of God to us, much like Jesus does the Son aspect. Most revered of these in the West is the one who was chosen to be Jesus' Mother: Mary.

In the East many give homage to a Mother figure with a tremendous heart of mery and compassion: Kuan Yin, her name means the one who hearkens and refers to her vows of foregoing the opportunity to enter the bliss of the Buddha and tarry with earth's people to alleviate their sufferings.
