And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it" (1 Cor. 10:13). Here's an important truth: The way out doesn't appear by magic. Instead, it's something we purpose to receive from God, a conscious decision. We must determine our way out before the heat of the emergency hits. Otherwise, our emotions will dominate, and we'll be blind to God's provision. We need to get God's emergency procedures down in the recesses of our minds.
