THE QUEEN OF HEARTS
PRINCESS DIANA

By millions they flocked, to pay their respects
To the "People's Princess," the "Queen of Hearts."

With a soul true and blue
She walked with the world,
Gave comfort to all
The old and the small.

The people she touched,
In thought and in flesh,
Remember her touch,
Remember the feel.

The spark in the heart
Her smile could evoke,
When all else was hopeless,
She opened the door.

And now HE has called her
To be at HIS side,
In a much better world
Where her dreams can come true.

She knows in her soul
That we'll never forget,
And behind her she left
A legacy rich -
With love and with hope -
Two wonderful sons,
William and Harry,
She's left in her stead.

May we be there for them,
As she was for the world.
May their hearts know she's smiling,
With love by their sides.

Soft Rain's Memorial Tribute to Diana

"On the Death of a Cultural Icon: August 31st, 1997" by Traci

As I am editing this page I am watching the memorial services and have just listened to the beautiful remembrance related by Diana's brother. No words imaginable could have been more beautifully said and more beautifuly represented the world's "Queen of Hearts." The Eulogy that followed was equally moving. The world was truly blessed by the earthly presence of Diana. May her sons now feel the comforting arms from above and may their grief be lessened by the the knowledge that their mother's impact on the world was perhaps one of the most monumental in today's times.

Please keep William and Harry in your prayers to help them through the loss of their beloved mother. As a mother, and as a person who has lost both of her parents, I sincerely thank you.
