A Spicy Tale
When I start my life, I look like radish seeds.
When I, the larvae, hatch I chew on sassafras leaves.
As a caterpillar, I 'm a jolly green fellow.
But when it's time to enter my chrysalis, then I turn yellow.
Be careful when you see me.
There's something you may not know.
I have a little special organ.
It's smell makes my enemies go.
How can you tell a boy from a girl?
At the bottom, boys are green,
While girls have a blue swirl.
I'm a Spicebush Swallowtail.
I flutter all around.
I'm a Spicebush Swallowtail.
I never touch the ground.
