Tracy Arm Trip

Thursday of our week in Juneau, the weather began turning on us. It got cold and rainy. We took a charter boat down to Tracy Arm, a spectacular fjord about 25 miles south of Juneau. From there, it is about 25 miles back from the opening of Tracy Arm to Saywer Glacier. Sawyer is a tide water glacier, constantly calving icebergs...which were numerous all the way in. Since it was a small boat, we were able to get into some tight places and really see the details. At one point the captain brought the boat along side a respectable iceberg and I was able to reach over, break off a bit of ice and suck on it.
