Hej, igen! I wanted to let you know that after a couple of months of no genealogical work I tried working on your relatives again yesterday, talking with first the funeral home in Epping and then the Rockingham County Probate Office. The funeral home told me they would need a letter from you indicating I was an agent of yours researching your relatives. The County Probate told me they had no information on file. So I will try again this coming week. I will call the Erlanders in the US and also try in Manchester, Vermont. I am wondering though, are you interested, since I haven't heard from you? Please let me know. Any directions to take with my Gustaf Adolf relatives would be appreciated as well. Manga tack.

Hello to you! I am very impressed with your website. It should be better known.I have a thought that perhaps I could help you and you possibly assist me. I checked the phone catalog and found only 7 Karlanders in the USA. However, one, who died in 1951, lived in Epping New Hampshire, 25km north of Amesbury, Mass, and some others lived in Manchester, Vermont. No current listings in either place. There are some now a little southwest of Manchester in Cairo, NY. I currently live in Chicago but was born and raised in New Ha pshire. With a little detective work I think I can find some information on the origin of the Karlanders there and about the children as well.I can call the listed Karlanders as well as the Hedlunds in Rockford.ROckford was a very Swedish town. One of it two hospitals isnamed Swedish-American Hospital. The question I have for you conerns my grandmother's ancestors. She was born Elin (Elsa in the church register) Elizabet Rosell i Gullskog,Gustaf Adolf 2 March 1872 and later immigrated to New Hampshire. In the church records on the Habo association Net s te I was able to trace back her father Gustaf Adolf Johans.Rosell (Fodd September 17-19,1838)his father Johan Rosell Gustavs.appears to have married Maria Lisa Johansdotter and then Katrina Andersdotter. His first child with Maria was Gustav orn April 6, 805. His other children with Katrina were a Anders Peter (April 8, 1810) and a Kristina (August 21, 1814) Incidentally they were married February 5, 1809. Here I am lost. I did find a Gustaf Rosell who died March 27 1841. But there are no older records of Rosell going back.I am wondering if the Gustaf Adolf who died was a father to Johans Rosell Gustavs in 1841. I did not find Gustaf Adolf Johns. Rosell birthday in the records but in a family Bible. Is it possible the Rosells moved into the parish. If so, hat is the easiest way to find out. I look forward to contacting your possible relative here and hope you might have some good ideas for me. Sincerely, Loring Rosell Nilsson (my father was from Ullared)

Even with this name I really am 3/4 Swede. My mother was 100% Swede and my father is Swede on his fathers side. He was a Carlson. Mom was a Sandberg, her mother was Swanberg. From there back are Larson, Pehrsson, Oleson, Hok, Ersdotter and on, and on, and on. I like your site. A lot of information!!! Thanks-Judy

I'm browsing through anything having to do with Swedish or Cornish genealogy. All my grandparents were Swedish (one set from Vasa), and my husband's were all from Cornwall or Devon.I haven't visited your whole site & links yet, but I will.

I am making a "Creative Memories" album for my sister this Christmas. Old family pictures, personal hand-written notes of memories, I will incorporating family tree and family history information. Format is very "antique" with black, white and brown tones "Swedish" where possible.
