Eyes of a Stranger

hint of danger
glimpse of pain
the eyes of a stranger
holding my gaze

smoldering blue
cold and dark
scorching my soul
burning my heart

time is halted
loneliness fades
passion once smothered
now an inferno of flames

edge of seduction
wild desire
point of submission
raging fire

rush of ecstasy
passing all sin
and every time, I fall in love
all over again

For Loves Sake

Through the chilling night air she watches him.
He walks only steps ahead, but never quite in reach.
Occasionally he looks back and smiles,
as if he's reading her mind.
Then he turns and continues walking,
without ever catching a glimpse
of the pain in her eyes.

At times it seems as if he's aware
of her following so close,
and maybe he even slows his pace.
But just enough to make her think he cares,
then quickly, perhaps too quickly, he moves away.

If only he would let her know what he wants,
she would do anything he pleased.
But not once does he pause long enough
for her to question his needs.

Perhaps one day he'll grow tired of walking alone.
Please, God, for loves sake,
let it be before the sun rises,
and she truns the corner for home.

Love

rush of sadness
thrill in pain
everlasting sorrow
never ending rain

call to madness
force of love
erotic silence
flaming touch

hint of envy
raging fires
smoldering heat
mindless desires

edge of submission
passion slain
love imprisoned
darkness remains

fall of justice
freezing cold
lack of emotion
tightening hold

fear of ecstasy
heart of stone
call to insanity
left utterly alone

Anything to Hold You

I watched through tears as you
turned to walk away,
praying I could take back all the lies,
and screaming for you to stay.
When I realized you would never
again be mine.

Seconds then become hours, and hours,
mirrors reflecting endless years
of pain.
Reality was nothing but a lifetime of regrets
which were slowly driving me
insane

If only I had loved you
while you were mine.
You might still be here today.
But I never realized how much
I needed you,
and now it's too late.

So what happens to the love we shared,
does it just die, now that we're apart?
And, baby, if after years of loneliness
and pain, I still miss you,
who will stop the hurting in my heart?

I can't start another day alone,
I never thought love like ours
could die.
I walk around completely numb
to the rest of the world.
If I can't have you,
I don't even want to be alive.

I always said I'd give anything
to hold you.
All I want is for you to be mine.
Baby, I never meant to hurt you,
and I never meant to lie.
I said anything to hold you...
I Love You,
now I give you
my life

Insanity of Life

How do you survive in a world
where there are no survivers?
Where freedom and love, no longer exist,
and no one is given a reason to live.

What happens to a world
in which the creation of problems
completely destroys all happiness,
until only pain and loneliness are left?

Where do you find hope,
when all thats to hope for is a life of pain,
brought on by someone who long ago decided
that happiness could never be obtained?

What is freedom in a world of manipulation and lies,
where only those who can convince others
of their insanity,
are free from false tortures of the mind?

And what is death
to a world of people
whose greatest wish,
is to die?

You see, you are all alone,
there is no one left who truly cares.
The sole purpose of life is to induce
that the world is full of despair.

And so your pain will exist
untill you draw your last breath,
because insanity is now the belief
that there's more to life than death.

You Can Only Guess

Do you know what I know
or can you only guess?
Do you feel what I feel
or is the pain even less?

Do you see what I see
or maybe only half?
Do you hear what I hear
or can't you hear them laugh?

Do you need what I need
or do you have it all?
Do you land where I land
or do you ever fall?

Is your pain like my pain
or is it even less?
Do you know what I know
or can you only guess?

Your Life or Mine

I killed my best friend today,
and as I lay here wondering why
I feel no regret or pain.
Her destiny was in my hands,
it was her time to die.

She chose her own fate
when she said she'd never hurt me,
no matter what I did, I knew it was a lie.
She always meant to do this,
she could never even look me in the eyes.

I screamed in silence for too long,
it was her price to pay.
I never meant to hurt her,
but yesterday is gone,
and I am free today.

I couldn't stand and watch
as she slowly took my life.
If only you would understand,
it was your life or mine.

Silence

She caught a glimpse of something in her eyes,
the pain she saw every morning in the mirror.
Somehow, no matter how hard she tried,
Loneliness was always near.

Darkness was all that was around her,
silence enveloped her soul.
She lived in total isolation,
a pain no one else could know.

She watched her eyes grow larger
as the needle pierced a vein.
And she gripped the counter a little harder,
telling herself she wasn't insane.

She felt herself falling through the air
as the needle hit the floor.
And for what seemed an eternity she sat and stared,
then turned the lock on the door.

Her whole life, she'd walked around in some one else's dream.
And now, the gun shot echoing through the night,
was all that covered up her scream.
Then, silence enveloped her, for the very last time.

Pain

The stars no longer shine,
and the sun, fails to send its light.
Existance slowly turns to ash,
right before my eyes.

Mountains crumble painfully
and the rivers all run dry.
But the ones who are left,
don't even care enough to cry.

Pain has now become us,
and it's useless to even try.
all we get from this world,
is manipulation and lies.

Everyone wants the truth,
but we're running out of time.
Pain now controls us all,
and death is finally mine.

Darkness

Darkness is nothing but a mirror
that reflects our deepest desires.
It enhances our biggest fears,
and extinguishes the hottest fires.

It takes control of our minds,
and plays its endless game.
And in truth it always seems to find
a lie that was made the same.

It holds no hope of light,
and ends in eternity.
It leaves nothing in sight
of peace or serenity.

Darkness reveals a glimpse of something,
but not enough to even guess.
Maybe it's just the insight
that life is to death.

Loneliness

Loneliness is a nightmare
that isolates me from my world,
and pulls me to its own,
shattering my life and all that I have known.

It seems to fade for a time
and I think it has finally ceased,
but the mirrors reflect the truth,
and keep my pain from ever being released.

Its shadows betray its darkness
and its light is obscure to my mind.
Only with fear do I challenge, and with tears
do I threaten, what can't even be halted by time.

I reach for your hand and call your name,
but there's no help for you to give,
because loneliness is a nightmare
that will never end.

Fear

Fear lives and breathes
inside us all.
You may not always feel it,
but listen closely and you'll hear its call.

It feeds on insecurities,
and on the unknown.
And it only dies,
when your not afraid to be alone.

Mirrors shatter,
only at the cost of pain.
And fear is slighted,
only at sanity's gain.

Silence may envelope you,
and darkness possess your soul.
But fear is where is changes,
because fear is what has control.

Never Ending Love

I stand frozen, watching our love slowly fading,
daylight turns to dusk, as darkness lay waiting.
Like the sun settling behind the earth,
never-ending love, now more pain than its worth.

Shadows silently melt away,
like the snow in a summers blaze.
Love that was meant to always stay,
now succeeding in a haze.

The night slowly envelops what could never be,
taking with it, all that lives and breathes in me.
Nothingness settles all around,
leaving no trace of the love I thought I'd found.

Then come the stars, tiny diamonds catching the light,
glistening as they are released from the night.
One-by-one they silently appear,
and I realize, the never ending love was always here.

The night will chase the sun from the sky,
but it will rise again, if given enough time.
As love will sometimes seem to fade,
just as darkness, it also, lies in wait.
