On March 3, 1940, The Bishop of Lafayette Jules B. Jeanmard officiated at the dedication and blessing of the new Chapel. The Chapel was built at a cost of $3,000.00 and of that amount $2,000.00 of it was a gift from the Catholic Church Extension Society of Chicago. The rest of the money was rasied by donations. Two acres of land was purchased for $150.00, and 3 years later another acre of land was purchased for $75.00.
Belaire Cove Chapel belongs to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus Parish and is in the small community of Belaire Cove.
The hours of the Mass: 5:oo p.m. on Saturday in the Spring (DST) & 4:00 p.m. in the Fall.

A Deposit for the Insurance is required upon reserving the Hall, then the balance is to be paid no later than two (2) weeks in advance. The balance must be paid before the tenant can have the key.
NOTE REGARDING FUNCTIONS WHEN THERE IS MASS: The religious purpose of the Belaire Cove Chapel takes priority over any activity occurring in the Hall. All tenants are reminded to respect the mass and to keep the noise down 20 minutes before mass and during mass.

NOTE REGARDING WEDDING RECEPTIONS: Wedding receptions and any function related to weddings are permitted in regard to weddings done in the Catholic Church, that is weddings recognized by the Catholic Church as validly sacramental weddings. Weddings involving a Catholic must take place in the Catholic Church or be granted a dispensation by the Bishop. Weddings involving non-catholic Christians must take place in the non-catholic Christian's church. Weddings involving mix-religion (Catholic and non-catholic) must take place in the Catholic Church or have the Bishop's dispensation to take place in a non-catholic church.
