About Me
[Home] [Merlynne] [Fish] [Feline CRF] [Holiday] [About] [Mom's Page]My biggest concern used to be trying to eat the fish, but I recently had a brush with Feline CRF. Luckily, my doctors think it was caused by an infection. They say I am going to be fine. However, it took that much for my people-Mom to update my website. Can you believe it? |
Update:Calvin has gone, slightly preceded by his friend Merlynne, both at the age of 13. I think they would both have liked me to pass along that they enjoyed their time here and the audience for this website. I will leave up the page as long as Geocities allows. Enjoy it for what it is worth. If you need the CRF link, I have finally provided it. Both Calvin and Merlynne lived roughly four years with the disease and were perfectly healthy for a long stretch of that time. From our personal experience, make absolutely sure, if your cat ever gets any kind of infection after having had a history of CRF, that your vet treats the problem aggressively and does not put your cat under anesthesia. It doesn't matter if he/she hasn't had a problem in four years. For Calvin, at least, that was the trigger. I couldn't get the vet to help him. Merlynne was very different. She just went to sleep one day. She was chubby and healthy seeming, then gone, but in a way, I feel she was spared most of what Calvin went through. CRF is quite horrible at the end, but it can be managed very well for a long time. If your cat is diagnosed with it, don't give up hope. Just find some one who will help. |
