The most important house in Travna |
Travna is a small village which lays in distance part of Czech republic at Polish border. The nearest town is Javornik ve Slezku. There is beautiful nature. You can say an ordinal village. But for young people from evangelical church this place has a special importance.
Pastor Petr Adolf from Javornik bought an old house there in 80's. It was planned as a place for meeting of young christians. Due obstacles from communist government church couldn't do this officially, so this place was officially declared as private cottage of pastor Adolf. But in reality young people come there to spend there Christmas or New Year, Easter and summer holidays.
After fall of communist pastor Adolf gave this house to Diakonie CCE which started rebuild this house as a place for recreation, meeting of young people and invalid people. This building is still continuing due lack of money. At picture above you can see a finished part( unfinished part is hidden behind). Thanks this part young people can meet there. They didn't only spend their free time but in summer they also help with building.
There aren't luxurious condition. In the winter there are terribly cold. At the picture on the left you can see how much space everybody has for eating. But people don't go there to hotel. They want to spent some time together, sang, pray and discuss about their belief. Previous two Easter there were some people from TenSing.
