What we do in Tensing Krabcice

Singing

This is the main part of Tensing. It takes most of time both at the rehearsal and at the concert. A sang can have 4 voices but it has usually 2 or 3 : soprano, alt and boys. Boys can be divided to tenor and bass. We usually sing together with the band.

We don't sing only at the rehearsal and at the concert.

The band

Every Tensing choir must have a very good music equipment. This is a meaning members of the band. They are always unsatisfied with their instruments. The members of the band don't practise with the choir because they have own practise.

Dancing

It is one of the most popular activities in Tensing. There is a dance workshop where we prepare dances for the concert. Each member of the dance workshop has opportunity to choose sang and to create movements.

But we don't dance only at the concert.

Drama

The drama isn't so popular as the dance but man has bigger opportunity to express itself, to show other what man thinks. In Tensing we don't usually play dramas fra other people. We create the dramas together or few people from Tensing write it. In most case they are humorous but nevertheless they can be about serious things.

Devotion

YMCA is a Christian organization. The purpose of Tensing isn't to convert all members to Christians, but to show them possibilities which Christianity offers. We use various forms.

Be together

Tensing isn't just preparation of concerts. It's also much of time which we just spend together - of course rehearsal and also parties, eating, sleeping and trips.

Games

We really do like playing various games. Almost all our rehearsal started with games - for fun and also for warming up.

Work

Some things have to be done. Someone must clean, someone must bring wood and coal for heating. Unfortunately none does it for us. We aren't usually hard-working but we sometimes do great things.

Other

We have many other activities. Everybody can find a place in Tensing - for example work with technical equipment, various art activities. Everything is possible in Tensing. The only problem is to find out an idea and organize it.
