My husband and I have been married for 28 beautiful
years (hope to have many more) and have two wonderful children. Out of
our 28 years of marriage 27 of them (and currently) are as a proud family
of the United States Marine Corps (my husband being the active duty member).
We are originally from Eastern Tennessee but have lived in eastern North
Carolina for approximately 21 years out of the 27, so you could say this
is another home away from home. Once my husband finally decides to retire
we are planning on moving back to eastern Tennessee and building a log
home, which has been a dream of ours for quite some time.
Our daughter
is married and lives with her husband (also a Marine) in Texas and our
son still resides in eastern North Carolina. We love animals, we have 5
cats, and 2 dogs. All of our cats were gifts from our daughter as she was
growing up (you know the type you find along the roadways that people have
let out and no longer want). Sometime we thought she was just another Ellie
May Clampet, :-).
Our cats names are, Oreo, Baby Bea, Ransum, CoCo, and
last but not least (loves to eat) Shelby. Our two dogs names are Misty
(hines57) and Gidget (laborador). Our daughter brought Misty home her last
day of high school when she was a senior, apparently someone had put Misty
out on the school grounds knowing that some kind hearted person would pick
her up and take her home, (thats our daughter).
Our son loves sports of
all kinds, golfing, baseball, basketball, rollerbladeing, soccer, pool,
darts, etc. So as you can figure we don't see alot of him because he is
always on the go with something to do or somewhere to go.
My husband is a Master Gunnery Sargent in the
United States Marine Corps and is currently assigned to Station Operations and Engineering Squadron which has the only two C-9B aircraft in the
Marine Corps along with UC12B's and CH46D's (Search and Rescue helicopters). During his career he has seen all parts of the world. He just recently
went to Australia and Ireland and just recently a 15 day trip around the world. He has been stationed at places such as Japan and the
Philipines not to mention serving our country during Vietnam. In his spare time he has
coached recreation sports such as baseball, soccer and basketball. One of his favorite pastimes
is golfing.
And as for myself I love surfing the net and now I am trying this homepage stuff, a real
learning experience is the least to say, but having fun. So please be patient
with this Home Page because we are learning as we go and you may see major
changes from time to time til we get it right.
