WELCOME TO SECOND GRADE

I have been teaching for 23 years. Presently I teach 2nd grade and have taught kindergarten for 4 years, and 2nd grade for 4 years (my first teaching job) and the rest of the time in 4th grade. Our school is small and when my daughter started in kindergarten (I would have had her in my class), I moved to 4th grade. I took my 4th grade teacher's position, she retired.

This year is my second back in second grade. My class is a great class. I have 19 students and work with two great co-workers, Gayle, Bettye and Stephanie.

My class is in a mobile classroom this year. We share it with two other classes. We have a class pet, a rabbit named, Thumper. Thumper now has a new home, she got too big for the kids to handle. We have a new class dwarf rabbit, named Cuddles. On March 28, 1999, Cuddles became the mother to 7 bunnies. The kids have their own homepages at Cannon Elementary Second Grade.
