I remember the summer
As if it were yesterday.
Your long black hair,
How it would blow in the wind.
 Your pretty brown eyes,
How they sparkled by the bonfire.
Most of all I remember your
Lovely face and smile.

Today I was told
Your pain and suffering
Here on Earth was over.
A twinge went thru in my heart but,
I know today you
Smile at the face of God.
Your eyes twinkle and
Tears of joy roll down your face for
Today you are whole again.

In my heart I’ll always
Hold the picture of
A beautiful young girl
Standing on Whitesand hill
Wind in her hair,
And a smile on her face.
