The trusting voices of children who believed what Mom and Dad tell them; who know only what Mom and Dad teach and show them. How easily won is the love and devotion of a child? How could anyone take that love and trust and take it to the ultimate betrayal?

You might not see it. You might not hear it. Maybe you have never seen the children dressed to heel and ankle on the hottest summer days or read the stories of children with Shaken Baby Syndrome or Battered Child Syndrome. How many tears must we shed before we can save an innocent child's life? We cannot continue to keep the silence or to think that someone abusing their child in not our business. The life of a child may be at risk.
