Kentucky Harts seem to come from Virginia.

Israel Hart married Elizabeth Price of VA 1763.

He moved first to Pulaski, Co., KY and then to Russell Co., KY. (1820 Pulaski Co. Census Record.)

His son, Israel is listed in the 1830 Census.

His son, Robert, was born @1793 and married Darcus @1815, who is in the 1820 Pulaski Co., KY Census, 1830 Wayne Co., KY Census, 1840 Russell Co., KY Census, and 1850 Russell Co.,KY Census.

In 1850, Robert, age 57, has 6 children remaining at home: 1) Lettice, 22; 2) Mary C., 21; 3) Nancy, 17; 4) Susanna, 13; 5) Fountain, 12; and 6) Eliza J., 8. His son Crattus (Socrates) age 27, also appears in the 1850 Russell Co., KY Census.

Socrates married first Nancy and after 15 children she died @ 1880-1898. He married second Millie @1898, age 21, His date of death is unknown.

Some of Socrates children were: 1845 Mary J.;

1847 James C.; 1849 Easter C.Robert is my ggggrandfather, and I have barely started my investigation,

His daughter, Mary married William Bolen.

Their daughter, Morning married John Lafayette Upchurch.

Their son, William Sherman married Margaret Evelyn York.

Their daughter Mabel married Alonzo William Masengale.

Their daughter Sandi married Frederick Bremer.
