There are many
turnings on the path of life.
Some are very
small and don't lead very far.
Others are wide
and long, smooth and tempting.
The easy life!
but where does
it lead?
Jesus said,
“My way is not easy”
and we wonder
‘does it have to be so hard?’
Then we think
of Jesus on the cross!!
The course of life
is not clearly mapped out
and we have to
choose which roads
we will take.
In the end all
roads lead to one door
- the door of
death - the door to eternal life.
And it is here
we will see
how well we chose
along the paths
of life.
The burdens we
carry along the path,
the sorrows we
meet
and the disappointments
we face
strengthen us
-
and we gain courage
to go on to the
happy times,
the joyfilled
days.
If we only look back
we would find
many happy times;
times of peace;
times of joy.
Then maybe our
burdens and sorrows
would seem a small
and insignificant part
on our path
of life
There should be
only one goal in life
and that is to
finish the course.
Having lived life
fully!
And when we come
to the end
how wonderful
if we are able to say,
"Yes
I've enjoyed my life,
I
have completed the course
and
I'm ready to move on.
I
have fulfilled the purpose
for
which I was put on earth."
