Welcome to the Husted Genealogy Page!

These pages need some major reworking and I promise to add more place names to the data I already have, as well as updating some of the research. I'll keep you posted! One caveat: there are many who bear the name Husted, and most of them won't be included on these pages. As far as we can tell, most American Husteds have a common ancestor in Robert Husted (1596-1654), who emigrated to Massachusetts in 1635 from Dorset, England.

Raison d'être

We've been researching our family for several years and have experienced both the enlightenment of finding our work done for us in published genealogies and the frustration of complete dead ends. As the web-aware family member, I felt there was no better purpose in a website than to share what we know for those curious or just researching the name.

We're always researching, and I'm always looking for new ways to improve this site.
