Mooch & Friends

The Moocher appeared on the screen of my door in the dead of winter once upon a time.  She filled her belly, left, returned to the screen the next day, ate everything she could and decided to stay - for the next 15+ years!

For the first few years that Mooch allowed me to live with her, she would disappear in the late spring and return again in early fall - healthy, slimmer, and without a clue as to her whereabouts!
The bathing beauty was a great friend and avid hunter.  It was not uncommon for her to bring home the spoils and present them to me with great pride.  bathingmoochy.jpg (4099 bytes)

In later years Mooch abandoned her svelte figure.  She fell victim to obesity (my fault), diabetes for her last 3 years, arthritis, and finally deafness.   But she was a trooper to the end, never complaining about her injections and always there for me (as I was for her).

Mooch really needed to get in touch with her inner self and loosen up a little, don't you think!

This is the Old Fella!  He was a scruffy neighborhood stray who liked to come for a visit, a snack  - was very gentle but shy - and a nap, on occasion.  This continued for several years until sadly a stroke claimed him one night. oldguy.jpg (87775 bytes)

TC - a very friendly black stray.  Like the Old Fella, TC would often visit but never stay for long.  The family cats tolerated both of them but never got overly friendly.

As you can see, TC was not shy and made himself comfortable in the very best of places.  TC went away one time and just never returned    : ( sleepytc.jpg (3704 bytes)

I love and miss you all!
