A BRIEF BIT OF INFO ON THESE KIDS

Pseudo Black (Sudo) and Terrible Tinker (Surprize)(forground)

CANADIAN CHAMPION PSEUDO BLACK,FCHX,CC

Sudo in her early years

Pseudo Black, or Sudo as she was called locally was a very good dog in all aspects except her shyness. She was a brindle but I really wanted a black dog so I named her Pseudo Black because she was a very dark brindle. I really liked the name of Basic Black (a famous brood bitch) so I thought Pseudo Black was a classic as well. Her most annoying habit was running to Best of Breed at Lure Coursing and refusing to leave the line for Best in Field. Never did get a Best in Field from her. One other thing she really liked to do was bite the boys bums when they took off from the line at lure coursing. Nobody ever caught her doing this except me.
She did very well at all the events that she was entered in, she had a group placement in the show ring, best of breed wins in Lure Coursing.

SWEET MIKE, FCH

Mikey at 12 1/2 years old

Mikey was a sweet dog. He was also his own person. He raced in Caliente, Mexico, for a short time then came home to live out the rest of his days. He traveled a great deal, lure coursing. He was injured early and retired from all that stuff to become a couch potato. He did however get a BIF which is more than I can say for Sudo.
Mikey never did very well in the show ring, Patch always placed above him.

CANADIAN CHAMPION SIDEPATCH, FCH

Patch with his Group 3 win

Patch was in love with me. If you've ever had a dog like this, you know what I mean. He was my protector! Unusual for a greyhound. He also raced in Caliente, Mexico. He was the best of the litter (10) at the track. All the pups came off the track at the same time, all had homes found for them. Along with Sudo, Patch was my pick of the males out of the litter. Injured at a lure coursing meet when he was eight years old he retired to the couch along with Mikey. He is also the sire of my latest pup, Solo.
Patch was my best show dog. He also had group placements. Not bad for a "track dog", eh!.

CH. TERRIBLE TINKER, FCHX, CC.

Pedigree

Their mother, Terrible Tinker, AKA, Surprize, was a very special dog that I wish every dog could be like.

Surprize (Terrible Tinker) winning Best In Field, Calgary, Alberta, 1984

Just a liffle bit of insight into the life of three of my dogs. All of them lead a pretty easy life except that I do require that they all 'run' for me in the events that they can enter. That's what they are bred to do so that's what they must do. Laying on their backs with all four feet up in the air (dead cockroach position) is the sign of a contented dog in our household, usually after a good days run in the field.
If you are interested in anything more about these dogs or information regarding greyhounds.....drop me a note, Lynda
