E-CA Library

A small light brown horse walks up to you. "I'm Common Cold, also known as... a... a.... achoo! Kleenex. This is the E-CA (Equi-Club Alliance) Library. Submitting poems and stories and stuff to triplecrown8@hotmail.com will get you extra Bonus Stars (see the rules.) Just submit! A....a..choo! We always need new stuff to read. Please don't mind my sneezing, it's my... achoo! Allergies. And although our library may look a little muddled now, it will... a-achoo! Eventually be organized into two sections: the poetry and the stories. Both are welcome. Anyway, that's that."

"Horses by the Road"
by Denira
Horses by the road
Chestnut, black and brown
Running up and down
The pasture.

Horses by the road
Fillies, colts, and mares
None have any cares
As they frolick and play.

Horses by the road
Shetlands and Clydesdales
Neither on the trails
But on the open grass.

Horses by the road
Such a pretty picture
Such a different mixture
Delighting your eyes.

"Old Horse"
by Denira
Old horse, by the road
Thin coat, pigeon toed
Hardly living now.
Head down listlessly.
Old horse, long time
Retired from the plow Merely a pile of skin and bones
Kicked and hit, 'till someone called
To get old horse put down.

"A Free Horse"
by Denira
Wild and free
Head tossing, tail flowing
Muscles rippling when running
Through the open plains and
Tall grass
Racing the wind.
Faster and faster
None can defeat
The wild horse
In their element.
