Donald Nicholson, son of Donald Nicholson and Jane Wetherell, was born in Liverpool, England on June 6th 1834.
He married Elizabeth Ann Medhurst on August 6th 1856 in Liverpool, England at 22 years of age. Donald and Elizabeth are believed to have had four sons and a daughter, all of who died young. Donald became a widower at about 31 with the death of Elizabeth in December 1865.
He married again 3 years later to Euphemia Scott Gibb on October 7th 1868 in Aberdeen, Scotland at 34 years of age. She was said to have had a crippled hand, perhaps from birth.
Donald, at 38 years of age and Euphemia became parents of Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson in June 1872 in the Lancashire town of Chorlton-upon-Medlock. Charles was probably the first of 5 children born to Donald and Euphemia. Donald (who was by that stage 48 years old) and Euphemia, became the parents for the last time with the birth of Eveline Nicholson in September 1882 in Darlington. Eveline was their first and only daughter.
Tasmania
Donald and his family immigrated to Launceston, Tasmania on November 3rd 1893 on the "Loch Katrine" at 59 years of age. In his adulthood Donald made a living as a bank manager. Donald, as the father of the groom, attended Louise Augusta Fooks and Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson's wedding on December 8th, 1907 in Queenstown, Tasmania. Donald outlived his second wife Euphemia, who died in 1915 when about 75 years old. Donald was to live for nearly 10 more years. His only surviving daughter died in 1919 in her late thirties.
Donald sailed to New South Wales in 1920 at about 86 years of age. Donald died on May 24th 1924 in the Sydney suburb of Hunter's Hill, at 89 years of age of gastroenteritis. His body was interred at Field of Mars cemetery on May 28th 1924 in the Sydney suburb of Ryde.

Angus Gordon Nicholson was born in the Lancashire town of Chorlton-upon-Medlock in March 1874. In his adulthood Angus made a living a mariner. By February 21st 1894 he was a 2nd mate. Angus died unmarried before 1924.
George Gibb Nicholson was born in the Lancashire town of Chorlton-upon-Medlock on Septmber 20th 1875. George Gibb Nicholson received a degree from Sydney University in about 1892. He received a degree at Balliol college in Oxford in about 1895. He married Marguerite Marie Danuser in 1905 at 29 years of age. In his later years George was Professor of French at Sydney University. George was awarded a C.B.E. in about 1940. George died on December 22nd 1948 in the Sydney suburb of Hunter's Hill, at 73 years of age. He was cremated in late December 1948 at Northern Suburbs Memorial Gardens Crematorium in the Sydney suburb of Chatswood.

Eveline Nicholson was born in Darlington in September 1882. She was a witness at her brother Charles and Louise Augusta Fooks's wedding on December 8th, 1907 in Queenstown, Tasmania. In ten years time she married the other witness to the wedding, Albert (Louise's brother). She resided in Queenstown, Tasmania in December 1907. She was a painter; some of her pictures are owned by Nancy Nicholson. She married Albert Henry Fooks in about 1917 in Tasmania. Eveline died in 1919 in Tasmania, at 36 years of age.
