Elsie Florence Darby, daughter of George Leonard Darby and Martha Alice Miller, was born in the Lancashire town of Chorlton-upon-Medlock on April 4th, 1884. She resided in the city of Adelaide, South Australia in 1904.
She married James Smith at "Kiliora"(?) Stanley St. on December 22nd, 1904 in at 20 years of age.
Elsie, at 21 years of age and James Smith, at 23 years of age became parents for the first time with the birth of Heba Gwendoline Smith on April 11th, 1905 in. Elsie, as James Smith's spouse, resided with him MacKinnon Parade, in the city of Adelaide, South Australia in in March 1907. Elsie and James, became parents for the last time with the birth of Walter Smith in about 1918. Elsie died after 1918 in Brisbane, Queensland.
