Henry Hugh Hill was born about 1825. I do not know where he was born or what he did with his early life in the colony.
He married Bridget Holmes at St. James' church on January 20th 1851 in Sydney, NSW at 25 years of age. Bridget was born in about 1822 in Ireland.
Henry and Bridget resided in Wooloomooloo street in Sydney, NSW in late December 1851. Less than a year after their marriage Henry and Bridget became parents for the first time with the birth of Ellen Mary Hill on December 11th 1851 in Sydney, NSW. At the time of his first child's birth he was a merchant's clerk. However, by the time his second child had come along two years later he was an ironmonger. Henry and Bridget became parents for the second time with the birth of Henry Hugh Hill on June 22nd 1853 in Sydney, NSW. He resided with his young family in Princes street in Sydney, NSW in late July 1853. Sometime in the next ten years Henry became a widower with the death of his wife Bridget. However he decided to marry her younger sister Maria, perhaps to help him care for his young family.
Henry married Maria Holmes at the Presbyterian manse on September 1st, 1863 in Rockhampton, Queensland at 38 years of age. Maria was born in about 1825 in Ireland. Henry and Maria Holmes, became the parents of Joseph William Hill about 1869 in Rockhampton, Queensland. By the time his son Joseph married in 1901, Henry was dead.

Ellen Mary Hill was born in Sydney, NSW on December 11th 1851. She was baptised at St. James' on December 28th 1851 in Sydney, NSW. Ellen resided with her family in Princes street, in Sydney, NSW in late July 1853 at 1 year of age. Her mother died sometime in the next ten years. Ellen was young when this happened.
Henry Hugh Hill was born in Sydney, NSW on June 22nd 1853. He was baptised at St. James' on July 24th 1853 in Sydney, NSW. His mother died sometime in the next ten years. Henry was young when this happened. In his adulthood Henry made a living as an Ironmonger, as his father had. He resided in Rockhampton, Queensland in late 1882.
He married Jane Holt at St. Paul's on October 25th 1882 in Rockhampton, Queensland at 29 years of age. Jane was born in about 1861 in Manchester.
Henry Hugh Hill and Maria Holmes had the following child:
