Jane Maria Murray, daughter of Kennedy Murray and Hannah Goodall, was born in the small Tasmanian town of Evandale September 6th 1850. She was one of an incredible 15 children born to her parents.

She married Henry Samuel Cox Fooks on September 22nd 1873 in Launceston at 23 years of age. Jane died in 1901 in Waratah, TAS, at 50 years of age.

Jane and Henry had the following children:

child Alice May Fooks.

child Coralie Hannah Fooks.

child Albert Henry Fooks was a witness at Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson and his sister Louise's wedding on December 8th, 1907 in Queenstown, Tasmania. In ten years time he was to marry the other witness at the wedding, Eveline (Charles's sister). He resided in Queenstown, Tasmania in December 1907.

child Eric Were Fooks was born in Waratah, TAS in 1890. Eric died in 1963 in Lindisfarne, Tasmania, at 73 years of age.
