Louise Augusta Fooks, daughter of Henry Samuel Cox Fooks and Jane Maria Murray, was born in the small Tasmanian town of Evandale in about 1881.
She married Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson at St. Martin's Church on December 8th, 1907 in Queenstown, Tasmania at 26 years of age. Charles was born in June 1872 in the Lancashire town of Chorlton-upon-Medlock, the son of Donald Nicholson and Euphemia Scott Gibb. Charles lived in Queenstown before his marriage, and stayed there withhis growing family.
Louise, at 28 years of age and Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson, at 37 years of age became the parents of the improbably named Hubert Evelyn Leigh Arncliffe Donald St.Aldwyn Nicholson on December 16th, 1909 in Queenstown, Tasmania (the first of three children born to them). Hubert was subsequently called 'Boy'. She resided in Queenstown, Tasmania in early 1910. Louise, at 31 years of age and Charles Leigh Clare Nicholson, at 40 years of age became parents for the last time with the birth of Brandon Murray Scott Nicholson on November 16th 1912 in Tasmania.
Louise died sometime after 1920.
