Long before humans invented computers and we became cybercats, we already played interactive games. One of the oldest, but still bests, is hide and seek - that means, you hide something and your human has to seek it.There are evidences that even since ancient Egipt this game has been most well-liked (ever noticed all those smiling sphinxs ?) . There is, for instance, an antique wall painting there, refering to it. Own to inaccurate translation, in history books you read the following explanation: "In the XIV Dynasty there was a religious cerimony in which the ruler's scepter was put into a jar, guarded by a feline deity, while servants danced with upraised arms in honor of the crocodile god." Below, first hand, I forward you the correct meaning: |
Many other obscure historical events could have been elucidated if humans only asked cats - we were always there and our memories pass over generations - but let's return to present days. I show you here some rounds I played: each aroused its peculiar emotion, like: |
slight annoyance
|
perplexity
|
hectic despair
|
This happened when I got hold of the car's keys one early morning and put them in a shoe. You should have seen how eager my humans searched for it ! I never understood why after some time they left with the reserve key - most unsporting, I thought ! But never mind, they resumed the game as soon as they came back, and the mixed emotions that aroused when they found them after a long search no one can describe ! |
One time, unintentionaly, of course, it caused the most unfounded suspicions !This happened when a visitor found my rubber gecko beneath the sofa cushion where I had left it. Humans are so unpredictable ! |
About geckos in my life, I'll tell you a story another time. Here I
close for today or my stories will no longer be short, as I promissed before.
