Did I mention it was hot? Well, hot would be an understatement! It was more like standing in the fires of hell for a few hours. LOL! Ok, so it wasn't that bad but it was close to 100 degrees with the humidity, Boston smog, construction & traffic. It was nice to see everyone again and meet Tiff, but it would've been better to meet somewhere that wasn't so crowded & loud. (IMO anyway) Unfortunately, Kim & I had to leave before meeting with Theresa. Hopefully we can meet sometime this summer. KIM "Erika -- I dont think you mentioned that it was kind of warm out too -- LOL! Yes it was a good time (but HOT) and very crowded. It was really nice meeting Tiff and her crew! The kids loved the aquarium - but we will definitely have to pick a quieter place next time!
It was nice seeing Jo,Kelly and Karen again -- I say next time we meet at a
beach somewhere and just hang out!
It was nice to see everyone. AFter Erika and Kim left to catch a train, Tiff, Kelly, and I, and families, were going to get dinner at FHMarketplace, then Robert and I were going to catch up with Theresa. We lost Tiff and Kelly. We're guessing that, after we all paid $24 for parking, that they abandoned us as we drove into yet another parking garage. LOL! This one was only $9 total, and it was a block from FHM. We had dinner while Benito slept, and waited for Theresa, but we're guessing she didn't make it. :( Or she sneaked away when she saw us! ;) We found Miriam at the Children's Museum this morning! We'd been there at least an hour already, and I heard someone yell for Menasah Yosef. Hmmmm..... It was so nice to hang out for a while and and chat and let the kids run rampant. That place is great. We were there for almost 5 hours total. We still didn't see everything.
We had a lovely weekend.
I loved seeing everyone and would love to do it again but definitely NOT
Boston! :-) It was nice to see Kim, Erika, Kelly, and Jo again (as always) and I loved getting to meet Tiff! Just wish we could have had more time to chat. By the time I met up with her, Kristin was in major-meltdown-status. We needed to get the hotel ASAP to get her calm and call my brother.........LOL, apparently he called HERE around 4 because he hadn't heard from me yet, LOL!!! Also unfortunately, Miss Kris may not be in many pix since by the time we ushered our three consumers out of the gift shop, the pix had already been taken! LOL!!! I know I took a couple not-very-good ones. We found our hotel in Wakefield (a really nice-looking small town north of Boston) pretty easily (luckily, it had a golf course so we could see the little flag on the map!). Freshened up, called my brother (who lives in Boston now...he was "trying out" a job there, likes it, and will be moving to Boston next month, woo hoo!), then went to Chili's for dinner. Took a nice drive searching for a store to buy milk for our little "milk-aholic" and cookies for Matthew, the Cookie Monster of the family. kristin got an Elmo cookie too......which was more like cake, which she doesn't like, strange child! LOL!!! Looking forward to getting together again......in a quieter place! LOL!!! " |
